Organizations across the world are increasingly starting to see the benefits of moving more and more services to the cloud. The focus on the cost-saving potential of cloud is rapidly shifting to completely transforming the business with cloud. As organizations are investing enormous sums on technology they are starting to realize that in order to maximize the return on investment and accelerate the business transformation process the first area of focus should be people. By ensuring the organization is 'cloud-ready' the organizational adoption will be much faster and much better. A workforce ready and eager to maximize the potential value and benefit will more readily embrace a cloud strategy.
In a session at 12th Cloud Expo | Cloud Expo New York [June 10-13, 2013], Marcel Heilijgers - Executive Director of the Cloud Credential Council - will explore the direct link between a sound cloud education strategy to develop a 'cloud-ready' workforce and extracting maximum business value through cloud-based business transformation.
Organizations that are not cloud-ready often face significant objections in the introduction of a cloud strategy, resulting in longer implementation times and lost business value. The gap in cloud skills today is significant. IT roles need retraining, as well as HR, Legal, Finance, Marketing - departments that have traditionally relied on IT are now realizing that the more they know about cloud the faster they can transform themselves. The Cloud Credential Council is here to help close this global cloud skills gap and help 'cloud-ready' your organization. In collaboration with representatives from key technology vendors, cloud providers, cloud consumers, cloud brokers, the Cloud Credential Council has developed the most complete cloud education portfolio on the market.
